Make your instructions understandable

Not like this
It may cause a disaster!

The vacuum pump is started from the START button local to the pump. Before starting, a check must be made to ensure that cooling water flow and return valves are open (CW1 and CW2) and that the trade water feed valve is open (TW1). The trade water control valve (TW3) is pre-set and should not be adjusted. The level of seal water can be seen in the sight glass mounted on the side of the separator tank and should be at the working level. If it is not visible, the pump must not be started. The Shift Supervisor must be informed of the fault.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Before starting the pump, ensure that the following valves are open:

  CW1 (cooling water flow-and-return valve)
  CW2 (cooling water flow-and-return valve)
  TW1 (trade water feed valve)

2. Do NOT adjust valve TW3 (trade water control vale), as it is pre-set.

3. Ensure that the seal water (which can be seen in the sight glass mounted on the side of the separator tank) is at the working level. If it is not visible, DO NOT START the pump: inform the Shift Supervisor of the fault.

4. Start the vacuum pump by pressing the START button beside the pump.
